The only way that a healthy mouth and adequate denture fit can be maintained is by regular denture check-ups.

The most important thing that you can do to ensure the investment you have made in your dentures is to have regular denture examinations. Your dental prosthetist has been trained to construct a well fitting denture and also to recognize and evaluate the total health of the mouth.

Most dental prosthetists will recommend a check-up once each year to maintain your denture properly. Your dental prosthetist has the training and experience to examine your mouth and advise you of your denture needs. 

Remember dentures don’t change- you do.

As your mouth is changing you may need to have your denture adjusted from time to time. If your mouth gets sore, do not wait for the sore to go away. It usually just gets worse. Come in to see us for an adjustments right away. It only takes a few minutes but can make a huge difference to your comfort and health.

A soft liner is a rubber material that is processed onto the acrylic base of the lower denture. It resembles natural gum tissue, is comfortable to wear, and is resistant to mechanical pressure. If you are experiencing soreness due to lost gum tissue a soft liner may help you.

Every two to three years your denture will need relining. When we reline your denture we refit the base of your denture so that it fits to your gums. We can usually reline your denture in only one day.
